1. Cor./Kor. 9,24 Wißt ihr nicht, daß die, so in den Schranken (= der Rennbahn) laufen, die laufen alle, aber einer erlangt das Kleinod (= den Preis erlangt)? Laufet nun also, daß ihr es ergreifet!

KJV + EL = Know you not that they which run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain.

1. Cor./Kor. 9,25 Ein jeglicher aber, der da kämpft, enthält sich alles Dinges; jene also, daß sie eine vergängliche Krone empfangen, wir aber eine unvergängliche.

MENGE = Jeder aber, der sich am Wettkampf beteiligen will, legt sich strenge Enthaltsamkeit auf, jene, um einen vergänglichen Kranz zu gewinnen, wir aber einen unvergänglichen.

KJV + EL = And every man that strives for mastery (self control) is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,2 und sind alle auf (unter) Mose getauft mit der Wolke und mit dem Meer;

KJV + EL = And were all baptized to Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

1. Cor./Kor. 10,3 und haben alle einerlei geistliche Speise gegessen

KJV + EL = And did all eat the same spiritual meat/food;

1. Cor./Kor. 10,4 und haben alle einerlei geistlichen Trank getrunken; sie tranken aber vom geistlichen Fels, der mitfolgte, welcher war der Messias.

KJV + EL = And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was the Messiah.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,5 Aber an ihrer vielen hatte JAHWEH kein Wohlgefallen; denn sie wurden in der Wüste niedergeschlagen.

KJV + EL = But with many of them YAHWEH was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,6 Das ist aber uns zum Vorbilde geschehen, daß wir nicht uns gelüsten lassen des Bösen, gleichwie jene gelüstet hat.

KJV + EL = Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

4. Mose 11,4

1. Cor./Kor. 10,7 Werdet auch nicht Abg-ttische/Götzendiener, gleich wie jener etliche geworden sind, wie geschrieben steht (2. Mose 32,6): »Das Volk setzte sich nieder, zu essen und zu trinken, und stand auf, um zu spielen«.

KJV + EL = Neither be idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,8 Auch laßt uns nicht Hurerei treiben, wie etliche unter jenen Hurerei trieben, und fielen auf einen Tag dreiundzwanzigtausend.

4. Mose 25,1.9

1. Cor./Kor. 10,9 Laßt uns aber auch den Messias nicht versuchen, wie etliche von jenen ihn versuchten und wurden von Schlangen umgebracht.

KJV = Neither let us tempt the Messiah, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,10 Murrt auch nicht, gleichwie jener etliche murrten und wurden umgebracht durch den Verderber.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,11 Solches alles widerfuhr jenen (ihnen) zum Vorbilde; es ist aber geschrieben uns zur Warnung, auf welche das Ende der Welt gekommen ist.

KJV + EL = Now all these things happened to them for examples; and they are written for our warning/admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,12 Darum, wer sich läßt dünken, er stehe, mag wohl zusehen, daß er nicht falle.

KJV + EL = Therefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,13 Es hat euch noch keine denn menschliche Versuchung (= Prüfung; Anfechtung) betreten; aber JAHWEH ist getreu, der euch nicht läßt versuchen (= prüfe; denn JAHWEH versucht keinen!) über euer Vermögen, sondern macht, daß die Versuchung (= Prüfung) so ein Ende gewinne, daß ihr es ertragen könnt.

KJV + EL = There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man (can bear): but YAHWEH is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Heiliges Abendmahl und Götzendienst.

Holy communion and idolatry.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,14 Darum, meine Liebsten, flieht von dem Götzendienst!

KJV + EL = Therefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry!

1. Cor./Kor. 10,15 Als mit den Klugen rede ich; richtet ihr, was ich sage.

KJV + EL = I speak as to wise men; judge what I say.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,16 Der gesegnete Kelch, welchen wir segnen, ist der nicht die Gemeinschaft des Blutes des Messias? Das Brot, das wir brechen, ist das nicht die Gemeinschaft des Leibes des Messias?

KJV + EL = The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of the Messiah? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of the Messiah?

1. Cor./Kor. 10,17 Denn ein Brot ist es, so sind wir viele ein Leib, dieweil wir alle eines Brotes teilhaftig sind.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,18 Seht an das Israel nach dem Fleisch! Welche die Opfer essen, sind die nicht in der Gemeinschaft des Altars?

KJV + EL = Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

3. Mose 7,6

1. Cor./Kor. 10,19 Was soll ich denn nun sagen? Soll ich sagen, daß der Götze etwas ist oder daß das Götzenopfer etwas ist?

KJV + EL = What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything?

Kap 8,4

1. Cor./Kor. 10,20 LUTHER 1545 + ELBERFELDER 1871 = Aber ich sage: Was die Nationen (Heiden) opfern, das opfern sie den Dämonen, und nicht JAHWEH. Nun will ich aber nicht, daß ihr Gemeinschaft habt mit den Dämonen.

MENGE = Ich will aber nicht, daß ihr in Verbindung mit den bösen Geistern (= Dämonen) tretet.

KJV + EL = But I say, that the things which nations (Gentiles) sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to YAHWEH: and I would not that you should have fellowship/communion with demons.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,21 Ihr könnt nicht zugleich trinken des HErrn/Jahschuas Kelch und der Dämonen Kelch; ihr könnt nicht zugleich teilhaftig sein des Tisches des HErrn/Jahschuas und des Tisches der Dämonen.

KJV + EL = You cannot drink the cup of the Master/Yahshua, and the cup of demons: you cannot be partakers of the table of the Master/Yahshua, and of the table of demons.

Matth 6,24; 2. Cor./Kor. 6,15.16

1. Cor./Kor. 10,22 Oder wollen wir dem HErrn/Jahschua trotzen? Sind wir stärker denn er?

KJV + EL = Or do we provoke the Master/Yahshua to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

1. Cor./Kor. 10,23 ELBERFELDER 1871 = Alles ist erlaubt, aber nicht alles ist nützlich; alles ist erlaubt, aber nicht alles erbaut.

KJV + EL = All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Kap 6,12

1. Cor./Kor. 10,24 Niemand suche das Seine, sondern ein jeglicher, was des anderen ist.

KJV + EL = Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s good.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,25 Alles, was feil ist (= verkauft wird) auf dem Fleischmarkt, das eßt, und forscht nicht, auf daß ihr das Gewissen verschont.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,26 Denn »die Erde ist JAHWEH’s (gehört JAHWEH) und was dadrinnen ist« (Ps 24,1).

1. Cor./Kor. 10,27 So aber jemand von den Ungläubigen euch ladet/einlädt und ihr wollt hingehen, so eßt alles, was euch vorgetragen wird, und forscht nicht, auf daß ihr das Gewissen verschont.

KJV + EL = If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.

1. Cor./Kor. 10,28 Wo aber jemand würde zu euch sagen: Das ist Götzenopfer; so eßt nicht, um dessentwillen, der es anzeigte, auf dass ihr des Gewissens verschont bleibt. Die Erde ist JAHWEH’s, und was drinnen ist.

KJV = But if any man say to you, This is offered in sacrifice to idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is YAHWEH’s, and the fulness thereof:

Kap 8,7

1. Cor./Kor. 10,29 Ich sage aber vom Gewissen, nicht deiner selbst, sondern des anderen. Denn warum sollte ich meine Freiheit lassen richten (= beurteilen) von eines anderen Gewissen?

KJV + EL = Conscience, I say, not your own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man‘s conscience?

1. Cor./Kor. 10,30 So ich es mit Danksagung genieße (teilhabe), was sollte ich denn verlästert werden über dem, dafür ich danke?

KJV + EL = For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

1. Cor./Kor. 10,31 Ihr eßt nun oder trinkt, oder was ihr tut, so tut es alles zu JAHWEH's Ehre.

KJV + EL = Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of YAHWEH.

Kol 3,17

1. Cor./Kor. 10,32 Gebt kein Ärgernis weder den Juden noch den Griechen noch der Gemeinde JAHWEH’s;

KJV + EL + LUTHER = Give no offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the Greeks, nor to the assembly of YAHWEH:

1. Cor./Kor. 10,33 ELBERFELDER 1871 = gleichwie auch ich mich in allen Dingen allen gefällig mache, indem ich nicht meinen Vorteil suche, sondern den der Vielen, auf daß sie errettet werden.

KJV + EL = Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,1 Seid meine Nachfolger, gleichwie ich des Messias!

MENGE = Nehmt mich zum Vorbild, gleichwie ich mich nach dem Vorbilde des Messias richte.

KJV + EL = Be followers of me, even as I also am of the Messiah.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,2 Ich lobe euch, liebe Brüder, daß ihr an mich denkt in allen Stücken und haltet die Weise (= Unterweisungen!), wie ich sie euch gegeben habe.

KJV + EL = Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,3 Ich lasse euch aber wissen, daß der Messias ist das Haupt eines jeglichen Mannes; der Mann aber ist das Haupt der Frau;

JAHWEH aber ist das Haupt des Messias.

KJV + EL = But I would have you know, that the head of every man is the Messiah; and the head of the woman is the man;

and the head of the Messiah is YAHWEH.

1. Mose 3,16; Eph 5,23; Kap 3,23

1. Cor./Kor. 11,4 Ein jeglicher Mann, der betet oder weissagt und hat etwas auf dem Haupt, der schändet sein Haupt.

KJV + EL = Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,5 Eine Frau (Weib) aber, das da betet oder weissagt mit unbedecktem Haupt, die schändet ihr Haupt, denn es ist ebensoviel, als wäre es geschoren.

KJV + EL = But every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head: for that is one and the same as if she were shaven.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,6 Will sie sich nicht bedecken, so schneide man ihr das Haar ab. Nun es aber übel steht, daß ein Weib verschnittenes Haar habe und geschoren sei, so laßt sie das Haupt bedecken.

KJV + EL = For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,7 Der Mann aber soll das Haupt nicht bedecken, weil (sintemal) er JAHWEH’s Bild und Ehre ist; das Weib aber ist des Mannes Ehre.

KJV + EL = For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since as he is the image and glory of YAHWEH: but the woman is the glory of the man.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,8 Denn der Mann ist nicht vom Weibe, sondern das Weib vom Manne.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,9 Und der Mann ist nicht geschaffen um des Weibes willen, sondern das Weib um des Mannes willen.

KJV + EL = Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

1. Mose 2,18

1. Cor./Kor. 11,10 Darum soll das Weib eine Macht auf dem Haupt haben, um der Engel willen.

KJV + EL = For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,11 Doch ist weder der Mann ohne das Weib, noch das Weib ohne den Mann in JAHWEH;

KJV + EL = Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in YAHWEH.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,12 denn wie das Weib vom Manne, also kommt auch der Mann durchs Weib; aber alles von JAHWEH.

KJV + EL = For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of YAHWEH.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,13 Richtet (Urteilt) bei euch selbst, ob es wohl steht, daß ein Weib unbedeckt vor JAHWEH bete.

KJV + EL = Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray to YAHWEH uncovered?

1. Cor./Kor. 11,14 Oder lehrt euch auch nicht die Natur, daß es einem Manne eine Unehre ist, so er das Haar lang wachsen läßt,

KJV + EL = Does not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man has long hair, it is a shame/ to him?

1. Cor./Kor. 11,15 und dem Weibe eine Ehre, so sie langes Haar hat? Das (lange) Haar ist ihr zur Decke (gewissermaßen als Schleier) gegeben.

KJV + EL = But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,16 Ist aber jemand unter euch, der Lust zu zanken hat, der wisse, daß wir solche Weise nicht haben, die Gemeinden JAHWEH’s auch nicht.

KJV + EL = But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the assemblies of YAHWEH.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,17 Dies aber muß ich befehlen: Ich kann es nicht loben, daß ihr nicht zu eurem Nutzen (auf bessere Weise), sondern zu eurem Schaden (auf ärgere Weise, zum Schlechteren) zusammenkommt.

KJV + EL = Now in this that I declare to you I praise you not, that you come together not for the better, but for the worse.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,18 Zum ersten, wenn ihr zusammen kommt in der Gemeinde, höre ich, es seien Spaltungen unter euch; und zum Teil glaube ich es.

KJV + EL = For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you; and I partly believe it.

1. Cor./Kor. 11,19 Denn es müssen Parteiungen/Zwietracht/Häresie (Ketzerei) unter euch sein, auf daß die, so rechtschaffen sind, unter euch offenbar werden.

KJV + EL = For there must also be factions/heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
