This book grew out of my long-standing interest in hairstyling. I became curious about the contrast between hairs ability to transform an image and how easily it can be overlooked as a finishing detail. Through art, fashion and cinema, I explored how hair expresses identity, carries cultural meaning and shapes our perception of a person or character. To develop the art chapter, I consulted art historians and professors in Russia, France and the United States. Their recommendations helped guide my selection and understanding of the works. The project brings this research into an accessible visual publication, inviting readers to notice the choices and meanings behind a hairstyle.
